SEED Capital’s portfolio company Firmafon sold to TDC Group!

An exciting journey is awaiting our former portfolio company Firmafon. Firmafon has been acquired by TDC Group, and TDC has great plans for the company.

Firmafon was founded in 2009 by Peter Engelbrecht and his ambitious team. As a new Telco, Firmafon wanted to focus on providing user-friendliness, cool products and good terms in opposition to the existing telecommunications industry, that never seemed to be on the customers side. Peter Engelbrecht saw a need in the Telco B2B market among smaller companies, who in many cases were offered bad service and poor terms.

The idea was great, but Firmafon needed funding to further develop and launch their platform. Peter Engelbrecht contacted SEED Capital, based on SEED Capitals successful investment in Fullrate, another Telco now owned by TDC. SEED Capital joined Firmafon as the first VC investor in 2010. With the investment it was possible to develop the right product and find the team needed, in order to successfully execute the vision.

Today, more than 4000 companies are using the platform of Firmafon. Additionally, the superior customer service of Firmafon has positioned the company in the top league when looking at customer ratings such as Trustpilot (5 stars and 9.4 in score)!

The plan of the new owner is to continue Firmafon’s development as an independent business unit with the same products and incredible customer service.
