SEED Capital welcomes Zenia W. Francker

We are beyond excited to share the expansion of our team with an experienced, competent and huggable person like Zenia. She joins as Director of Platform and is responsible for portfolio value-add and the strategic direction of SEED Capital’s brand and communications. She has always set startups first, investors second (!) and has been a part of the SEED family for years but now we have it in writing ®️

For the (few) ones of you who do not yet know our latest loquacious team member: Zenia W. Francker is a well-known Connector and Entrepreneur. She has been the CEO of two companies and currently sits on the board of companies like Matrikel1 and BetterMetrics. She is Co-owner of flexible workspace company Mesh Community, which owns and runs Matrikel1, Founders House and StartupVillage in Copenhagen, Mesh in Oslo and Digs in Trondheim. Every year 100,000 people visit these spaces to meet with and learn from disruptive tech businesses.

Zenia has a passion for connecting people. For 10+ years she has built businesses connecting startups, investors and corporates. She is a key driver of the Danish and Nordic startup ecosystem and involved in a variety of community initiatives like Danish Tech Startup Association, #NordicMade, #VCplatform and similar initiatives who work on BIG problems and create synergies across the entire startup scene. She is an advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the national strategy of Attracting International Venture Capital to Denmark. At the U.S. Embassy in the Kingdom of Denmark she helped American companies launch in the Nordics. Over the years, she advised 100s of startups on, in particular, fundraising. Recently, she embarked on a conscious journey exploring Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the realm of VC and startups, as well as, within her own family with lovely husband and 4 children (hereof 3 bonus ones).

Zenia is a sought-after Public Speaker and Moderator, 🥂 Champagne-lover 🥂 and is studying for a Management Degree from Harvard Business School, holds a Bachelor in International Business & Communication from Roskilde University.

She is listed among the top influential women in Scandinavia at The Nordic 100 and Females in DK tech.
