Seed Capital raises a Growth Fund to continue funding a strong portfolio.

The Investors in Seed Capital recognize that a very strong portfolio has been built. To secure continued financial support to the most promising, the partners have raised Seed Capital III Growth K/S at DKK 465 million.

Seed Capital invests in promising Danish tech companies at the seed stage and keep investing in the best of them all the way to exit. They target companies with a very large addressable market, a strong team and a winning solution. Typically, the first investment is at the seed stage, at which point they assist the company in building a scalable business including securing strong unit economics and new funding rounds with international investors. 65% of Seed’s initial investments receive a Series A funding, beating the European market benchmark of 19%. Recent investment rounds where Seed have participated include: Balderton investing in Forecast, Kinnevik investing in Superb, and InSight Partners and Blue Cloud in Templafy.

Managing Partner Ulla Brockenhuus-Schack: “We are happy, that our investors are supporting Seed Capital’s investment strategy. Thereby helping us to be a meaningful partner to our founders through their entire journey of building their growth companies to successful exit. This is potentially also very sound financially”.

PFA participated as investor in the fund, where Peter Tind Larsen, Head of Alternative Investments explains why: “There is a noticeable financial potential in the portfolio, the Seed team has built. We are pleased to be investing in this growth fund aimed at an existing portfolio of promising Danish venture companies, from which we expect an attractive risk-adjusted return”.
